New song: "Experiment 45"
At last!
I'm going to hold my commentary for the comments — I want to give y'all a chance to listen and think about this song before I explain it. I will say that it had been sitting around almost-finished for some time, and that last week seemed like a particularly good time to finish it.
MP3 and lyrics — enjoy!

i'll be interested to hear how you picked the names and the number. i have my guesses at sources for all of them, but some of the guesses are better (and more complete) than others.

G10, try gematria for the number. And add the usual suffix to the names.

At some point, of course, the strict analogy to the source material breaks down, and what remains is poetry — or science fiction! I assume it's clear, though, why the Maintenance team would have to keep working through the weekend. (Speaking of which, have a Nice Weekend!)
The moral of this song is, "It's not a bug, it's a feature."
I'm curious how many filkers will be actively aided by the number 45 and how many will come back to it after they figure the rest out.

It took a second read-through before I realized what the experiments were -- and who the named characters were for that matter.
