Finally!

Did you ever try to learn a simple-seeming, folksy song, only to realize that the harmonic and rhythmic structure that you love about it is your impression of layers of subtle lead-guitar riffs, and not strumming chords at all? Sometimes there's a way to reproduce that texture with chords anyway.

At long last, I have successfully added Paul Simon's "Born at the Right Time" (from Rhythm of the Saints) to my repertoire. Next time you're around me and a guitar, I'd love to play it for you.

Weirdly enough, Girlyman is covering this song in their concerts right now.

I'd like to hear you play it at Philcon.

I passed your email along to some other appropriate people, but I haven't heard back from them. I can poke them again if you like.
